Telecom Solar Power System
Huijue Network Telecom Solar Power System is a combined system for renewable energy production specifically for telecom base station facilities, communication towers, remote networks, and any other open communication infrastructure. The system is based on solar photovoltaics generation, lithium battery storage, power conversion, and intelligent energy management providing steady and constant energy supply for the telecoms infrastructure.
The system can function both off-grid, connected to the grid or as a hybrid system and can be customized depending on the telecom load, backup period, solar energy availability and specific site features. With the increased share of solar energy and batteries use, it reduces the grid power usage and generator operation time.

How the Telecom Solar Power System Works
Solar panels during daytime produce electricity that is used to run telecom equipment. In case where PV generation exceeds the existing load, the extra electricity is stored into the battery.
With a decrease in solar generation, the battery is automatically connected to supply the needed electricity to meet the telecom load. Grid-connected systems may also run from utility power when needed.
In case of an outage in the grid power supply, the battery acts as the backup power for running communication equipment. In cases of areas with long periods of inadequate sunshine, a diesel generator can be included as an alternative backup power.
Such a configuration makes it possible to operate the system by giving priority to the renewable energy system.
Applications
Huijue Network Telecom Solar Power System is ideal for use in:
- 4G and 5G telecom towers
- Telecom towers
- Remote telecom stations
- Wireless rural networks
- Off grid telecom stations
- Microwave telecom stations
- Emergency telecom systems
- Monitoring stations
- Weak grid telecom stations
- Telecom stations needing a diesel genset backup
Solar Power for Telecom Base Stations
Base stations for telecommunications generally run round the clock, making power reliability a vital necessity. However, at remote locations, grid extension can become costly, whereas the use of diesel generator can lead to high cost of fuel, transport and maintenance.
Solar Power with Battery Backup can serve as an alternate solution by making use of solar energy to compensate for the traditional power consumed.
In cases where there is unreliable utility power, the system can be made to consist of PV + battery + grid + diesel generator.
Customized System Design
Different Telecom sites vary considerably in their electricity use, solar irradiation, backup requirement, and space available for installation. Huijue Network can customize the system based on:
- Telecom equipment load
- Time requirement for battery backup
- Daily electricity use
- Solar conditions at the location
- Area available for PV installation
- Availability of the grid
- Generator capacity
- Battery capacity
- Dimensions of the cabinet
- Voltage requirement for DC
The system can range from a basic solar power system for small remote sites to a hybrid power system for large 5G base station loads.
FAQ
