Solar Wind Hybrid Energy System
Huijue Network Solar Wind Hybrid Energy System integrates renewable power generation from solar and wind, battery storage, grid power, and diesel generator power supply together to form an energy supply solution.
Renewable power generation from solar and wind will offset each other in terms of various weather and time conditions. The surplus renewable power will be stored in the battery when the renewable power generation falls short.
Grid power supply or diesel generator power supply can serve as another power source when prolonged low levels of solar and wind conditions prevail.
The system can offer off-grid system solution, grid-connected system solution, and multi-power source hybrid system solution according to the load level of the site, renewable energy condition, backup power requirement, and environmental condition.

System Configuration
The combination of renewable energy, storage, power conversions, and backup power into one energy architecture is presented in the system.
PV Solar System produces electricity from solar energy and uses it to supply energy directly to the loads or charge the battery.
Wind Power System produces electricity in case there is sufficient wind resource, and acts as an alternative to solar production depending on time of the day and weather conditions.
LiFePO₄ Battery Storage collects excess energy and supplies power when both solar and wind generation do not cover the load.
PCS/Hybrid Inverter controls the process of converting energy between renewable energy sources, battery storage, grid, and loads.
Energy Management System controls energy production, load demand, battery SOC, and the status of the power source.
Grid and Diesel Generator provide additional power in case there is insufficient renewable energy production.
Power Distribution System provides loads (telecoms, commercial or industrial) with controlled and steady power.

How It Works
In situations when there is adequate sunlight, solar PV provides electricity for the load, and surplus electricity charges the battery.
In case the wind is favorable, the wind turbine supplies additional energy sources. Whether the wind energy source directly provides electricity to the load or charges the battery will depend on the energy management approach.
Where solar energy and wind energy do not suffice, the battery is automatically discharged to boost renewable energy sources. In cases where the battery is at its minimum SOC level or renewable energy sources are not sufficient, grid power or diesel generator can be utilized.
The multi-energy source operation approach ensures consistent supply of power.
Solar and Wind Support Each Other
The solar and wind energy sources have distinct generation capabilities. Usually, solar PV energy generation is done in daylight, while wind energy production is based on the availability of wind.
This combination helps to minimize dependency on one source of renewable energy. The battery acts as a buffer for variation between the generation and load demand.
This combination would be very useful at remote telecom sites where there is limited grid connection and expensive diesel transportation.
Applications
Huijue Network Solar Wind Hybrid Power Energy System is ideal for:
- 4G & 5G Telecom Towers
- Remote Communication Towers
- Telecommunication Towers
- Stand-Alone Communication Sites
- Network Infrastructure of Rural Areas
- Emergency Communication Networks
- Remote Monitoring Stations
- Isolated Islands & Remote Power Systems
- Commercial/Industrial Establishments
- Remote & Critical Infrastructures
Hybrid Power for Telecom Base Stations
Telecommunications equipment normally needs continuous power supply, even when the electrical supply from the grid is intermittent or unavailable.
The combination of solar power and wind power in a single system may provide PV power, wind power, battery backup, and power backup to form a robust energy system. PV and wind provide the renewable power while the battery acts as the energy backup in case of interruptions in power production.
In places that need extended backup time, the system may incorporate a diesel generator or grid power as another power source.
Intelligent Energy Management
The EMS system is designed to provide continuous monitoring of vital parameters that include the following:
- Production of solar power
- Production of wind power
- Power load
- Battery state of charge
- Battery charging and discharging
- Grid availability
- Diesel generator operation
- Energy consumption
- System alarms
Depending on operating conditions at any time, the EMS manages energy transfers between the renewable power sources, batteries, grid power, generator, and loads.
This enables the system to optimize renewable energy usage and ensure reliable power supply needed for critical applications.
Flexible System Design
Every location has its own type of renewable energy and power demand. Huijue Network is capable of designing the system based on:
- Load power and daily power usage
- Solar radiation available in the location
- Available average wind speed and wind energy
- Battery back-up duration
- PV capacity
- Wind turbine capacity
- Battery capacity
- PCS/inverter capacity
- Availability of the grid
- Diesel generator capacity
- Installation space
- Environmental condition of the location
The outcome could be anything between a small-scale PV-wind system at a communication site to a large-scale energy system incorporating multiple sources.
